Dr. Shen Li is a research fellow at the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering of University of Strathclyde. He is trained as a naval architect and offshore engineer, with a specialism in marine structures. His research is focused on the structural integrity assessment, including the development of advanced numerical algorithm and the application of structural health monitoring and digital twin to ensure fitness-for-service. He actively engages in projects related to ocean energy and maritime transport with both industrial and academic partners. He is also the UK representative of the Offshore Renewable Energy Committee of International Ships and Offshore Structures Congress.
