James Innes is part of Wood’s Intelligent Operations team, where he is a Technical Manager for Wood’s Insights Platform. His main role is to provide technical guidance to digital project engineering teams, and acts as an interface between clients, engineering, and the software development teams. He has 12 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry, where he began as a flow assurance engineer, transitioning into digital innovation and transformation projects as the industry evolved.

James leads multiple teams building and/or deploying digital solutions for clients, typically involving the ingestion of client data from various sources into a data platform, upon which analytics and visualisations are built. Projects range from plant historian representation within a business network, to equipment emissions calculation/monitoring, to live artificial neural network prediction systems.
