Energy Transition Director at Spirit Energy and acting Cluster Lead for the MNZ project. Matt is an Engineer at heart, a Fellow of the institute of Mechanical Engineers, with a wealth of experience spanning more than 20 years’ in the energy sector. Matt joined Spirit Energy from Costain where he held the position of Energy Director leading Costain’s energy portfolio from strategic advisory to programme delivery. Prior to this Matt spent time at Kent as Market Director and 14 years at Atkins, beginning his career there as a Mechanical Engineer and progressing in a number of management roles.

Matt has been involved in and ran an increasingly diverse portfolio of projects and challenges which have seen him move from hydrocarbons to energy transition, CCS and renewables which he firmly believes holds the key to the global energy future.
