During her early career Libby worked with the MOD, Army, Royal Signals Regiment on a number of assignments during the Bosnian Crisis. Her love of the outdoors, became part of her higher education through her honours degree at the University of St. Andrews, where she studied Geology, later going on to study for her Masters at Aberdeen University in Applied Petroleum Geology.

Emerging as a Geophysicist from her studies Libby has spent a privileged two decades travelling the world, and its major oil capitals working with Super Major, Major and Independent E&Ps, as well as Oil Field Services Multinationals, resolving exploration, production and field development challenges.

Libby’s most recent appointment to BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, as UK Head of Pre-sales, has created an opportunity for her to reflect on experience and support new strategic initiatives around BAE Groups’ involvement in the governments’ Made Smarter Review, and BAE’s own Factory of the Future. The latter being a response to Industry 4.0 and its requirement for the increased adoption of digitally enabling technologies, intelligent data orchestration and insights, all of which is protected to provide operational continuity through the portfolio of cyber resilient solutions Applied Intelligence deliver.
