Sven heads up the Humber Expansion project at NEP, which aims to decarbonise the Humber region and builds on NEP’s Teesside CCS Transport and Storage business. Before joining NEP, Sven built an international career across upstream oil and gas, LNG, and renewables, holding senior leadership roles at Shell where he led the Prelude Floating LNG facility in Australia and later oversaw the long‑term gas resource development and electrification strategy for Shell UK’s North Sea business. As a purpose driven leader, Sven also serves as a Director on the Board of the Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG), supporting the development of the energy transition in Scotland.
