Willie Reid is an experienced Director and Management Consultant with more than 45 years industrial experience and is an Honorary Advisor on the Offshore Energy Transition for the University of Strathclyde.  

For the last 10 years he has been Director of the Strathclyde Offshore Energy Programme where he has introduced and initiated 70 successful projects, all with a variety of industrial partners.    

He has broad experience in upstream oil and gas services, downstream process industries, and clean technology development,  where previous roles have included international CEO, Managing Director, business management, and technical positions with Gas2 (co-founder), Servo BV, Lubrizol, Exxon, Nalco, and Shell. He has also consulted for both operators and their supply chain in clean energy initiatives, including Abu Dhabi's TAQA.

As an experienced non-executive director, he is a member and past Chairman of Aurora Private Equity, is a past Chair of the North of Scotland Knowledge Transfer Partnership, and is a past member of the board of Shetland's ORION Project.

He is a graduate of Aberdeen University, holds an MBA from Henley Business School and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry."
