Matthew Harwood is Senior Vice President, Strategy, Risk and Sustainability for McDermott.

Matthew, who is a chemist by trade, has led many global initiatives within the energy and chemical sectors over the last twenty years. His experience includes unique expertise in operational strategy, engineering, corporate development and environmental matters.

Prior to joining McDermott, he served as: an Associate at E4tech; an Associate at Eden McCallum; Group Strategy Director & Corporate Development Officer at Johnson Matthey; Chairman at Seven Energy International; Group Head of Strategy at Petrofac; Group Strategy Director at ScottishPower; an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton; and a Reservoir Engineer at Roya Dutch Shell.

He earned a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Chemistry and Climatology from the University of Cambridge.
